How to use content blocks in Addto.bio's Layout?

The Layout is the first section of the Addto.bio page. It contains different content blocks that help you to build your Addto.bio page. This blog will guide you through the Layout section and explain each content block and discover ways to personalize them according to your specific business or brand.

To add block:

1. Click on the + (plus) icon between content blocks
2. Choose a block from the list 
3. Add content to each block

These are the content blocks in Addto.bio:

1. Header
2. Social Links
3. Button
4. Grid
5. Image
6. Text
7. Embed Media
8. Addto.bio branding

Header

To change the header information, click the Header block on the left side.. When starting to develop your Addtobio, the first option you will come across is the Header, which is the first thing visitors to your page will see when they arrive. This part should be designed in a way that best represents you or your brand. You will be able to do this by choosing header format, and header image and adding a logo or personal photo, alt text, the page name, and a page bio to the header.

1. Under Logo or personal photo click on Upload image to upload your photo or logo (this option supports PNG, JPG, WEBP, and GIF formats)

2. Define your image with a few words by entering Alt text 

3. Enter your or your business's name in the text box under the Page name

4. Help people to understand more about your page by adding brief information in the text box under the Page bio

Additionally, if you want to add a banner to your Header, you can choose one of the last 2 options on the list (marked with a ⭐️ in the picture). 

Button

You can add more details to the Addtobio Layout by clicking the + sign below the Header.

With the help of the Button category, you can easily redirect visitors to different pages.

1. Enter links to any pages you want

2. Edit your label to your link to make it easier for people to understand where the link leads

Social Links

This category is basically for adding links to your social media accounts.

1. Click the Add Link button on the top right and choose the social media platform you want 

2. Drag and drop any social media platform to change their order

3. Add links to the text box under the names of these platforms

You can add more platforms by clicking the ➕ icon on the top right:

Grid

This category is considered if you want to demonstrate images from your own portfolio or your products.

1. Click on Upload image to upload unlimited images (this option supports PNG, JPG, WEBP, and GIF formats)

2. Define your image with a few words by entering Alt text 

3. Enter the Link related to the photo you just uploaded

You can apply this process individually for each image you upload.

You can also add more photos to the grid by clicking the ➕ icon on the top right

Image

You can add images to your Addtobio by using the Image category.

1.  Click Upload image to upload your photo (this option supports PNG, JPG, WEBP, and GIF formats)

2. Define your image with a few words by entering Alt text 

3. Help people to understand more about your image by adding a brief description in the text box under the Image caption

4. Enter the Link to the page related to the photo you just uploaded

Text

Text category can be used to include more details about you or your company.

1. Enter your text to the box under the Text section

Embed Media

You can provide a link to YouTube or Spotify here that you want to share with your audience.
