Planly's LinkedIn Analytics helps to understand the impact of your LinkedIn performance giving context to your page metrics, follower insights, and post results. To better understand the role of these metrics, you need to understand the meaning of each of these metrics.
This blog will explain the description of each LinkedIn metric provided in Planly Analytics.
Overview tab
The purpose of the Overview tab is to give a general view of your LinkedIn page analytics including actions taken by your followers and non-followers.
Followers | The number of users who follow your page |
Clicks | This represents clicks for organizations with career pages. It is the sum of clicks on the banner promo, employees section, job section, and promo links on the career page. |
Page views (by desktop type) | Total times a page was viewed with mobile and desktop views. |
Views by countries | Total page views by the top 20 countries. |
Views by job function | Total page views by the top 20 job functions. |
Views by industry | Total page views by the top 20 industries. |
Views by seniority | Total page views by the top 10 by the seniority level of page viewers. |
Best performing posts | The top 5 most engaged posts shared in the last 3 months. |
According to LinkedIn, there are 26 main job functions on the platform. This means the analysis does not consider the specific position the LinkedIn user holds but the field of the area and the job functions that the user performs.
When it comes to Followers by industry, there are 149 defined industries on LinkedIn
On the Followers by seniority, there are only 10 seniority levels defined on LinkedIn.
Audience tab
The purpose of the Audience tab is to reveal your page followers in terms of their regions, job function, and seniority level. The difference between the Overview tab and the Audience tab is that the former brings information about your whole audience including your follower and non-followers. Whilst, the Audience tab narrows the scope of these metrics only to your followers.
